John McLaughlin

   JOHN W. McLAUGHLIN:

John is probably best known for producing and starring in the upcoming feature film, “Meth Head”, opposite Lukas Haas and Wilson Cruz.  A graduate of New York’s American Academy of Dramatic Arts, John has   been acting and entertaining since childhood.

His first professional acting job was Off-Broadway in the American premiere of Dusty Hughes’ play, Bad Language, in the role of Alistair, at Primary Stages.  Other theatre credits include: Tom in Never In My Lifetime, Steve in Say Goodnight, Gracie, and Medvedenko in Anton Chekov’s, The Seagull.  In 2009, John originated the role of Damien/Dorothy in the premiere run of The Golden Gays in Los Angeles, for which he was nominated for ‘Best Featured Performance’ in The Best of Southern California Theatre, by Don Grigware, BroadwayWorld.com.

John has worked both behind and in front of the camera on numerous independent films, and is a current series regular in the highly-acclaimed web series, “We Have To Stop Now”.  He is also currently producing and starring in the horror film, “Crazy Bitches”, slated to begin shooting in spring, 2012.  John donates some of his spare time to organizations such as The Imperial Court System, The Harvey Milk Foundation, The Los Angeles Downtown Women’s Shelter, and is also a mentor to LGBT youth.
