Margaret  loves food and everything about it: growing it, cooking it, eating it, healing with it, talking about it, understanding it, and relating to it.

Food is such an integral part of our life. We have to eat it multiple times a day just to survive and, as one of her teachers said, “we are at our most basic level, walking food.”

She had her first powerful experience with the fundamental importance of food in her mid-20s when a change to her diet resolved a chronic skin condition she’d struggled with for years. At the time she was deeply immersed in the world of social ventures and business consulting.

Fast forward a few years and she became a Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) at the Nutritional Therapy Association and then drew inspiration from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition where she learned from some of the top minds in the field. Since then, she has become a Certified Healing Foods Specialist and has studied with the incredible Mark David at the Institute for the Psychology of Eating.

Margaret  now works with clients all over North America and Europe, helping them resolve health issues, learn how to eat for their body to thrive, and heal their relationship with food.

In June 2011 her first book, Eat Naked: Unprocessed, Unpolluted and Undressed Eating for a Healthier, Sexier You, was released with New Harbinger Publications. The Eat Naked Cookbook, with the amazing Chef James Barry, is due out in May 2012.

A recent contributor to the Eat Naked team is Chef James Barry, personal chef and owner of the Los Angeles based healthy (naked!) meal delivery company Wholesome2go. Chef James co-authored the recipe section of Eat Naked: Unprocessed, Unpolluted, and Undressed Eating for a Healthier, Sexier You and supports Margaret and her clients with creative recipes, menu planning tips, and all sorts of great strategies to make eating naked fun and seriously delicious.

Chef James learned to scramble an egg at the ripe age of four and has been passionate about cooking ever since. A graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute of Health and Culinary Arts in New York, James has served as a private chef to celebrities, helping them reach their optimum health. His healthy and tasty style of cooking has had such positive response that he started Wholesome2go, a healthy high-quality food delivery company currently serving the Los Angeles area. Whether traveling cross-country as the vegan/vegetarian chef on the Van’s Warped tour or in Europe with his celebrity clients, James is constantly making efforts towards assisting those that want to live healthier lifestyles.
